Settings > Customize is where you manage everything that changes how Kepler works: the plugins you installed, your skills, your hooks, your slash commands and your specialist agents. Open it with Cmd+, (Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux) and pick Customize in the sidebar.

How the page works

A row of chips across the top picks what you are looking at: Plugins, Skills, Hooks, Commands and Agents. Rules is marked Soon and is not available yet. One search box covers every chip. Type in it and the page moves to a chip with matches, with a count on each chip that has any. Every chip draws the same kind of list. Items are grouped by where they come from, each row has a switch and a menu, and long groups show five rows before Show more.

The workspace filter

Settings belongs to the whole app, so Customize starts on global items only. The menu inside the search box adds one workspace’s own items to the list, or goes back to global only. When you create something, Save for picks where it is written: All workspaces (global) or one workspace.

Plugins

Install, view, update, switch and remove plugins. Add plugin opens the plugin browser. Plugins you already installed for Claude Code are listed with an Import button.

Skills

Create a skill from a template, import one, edit its SKILL.md, add a script beside it, or switch it off. Skills you have in Claude Code’s folders show under From Claude Code until you import them. See Extend Kepler.

Hooks

Create a hook with New hook, edit or delete your own, and switch each one on or off. Hooks on switches all of them at once. Two banners can appear here:
  • A workspace has hooks waiting for review. Workspace hooks do not run until you trust them. Press Review to see each one and trust it.
  • Kepler skipped a broken entry. Show lists the file and the error. Every other hook keeps running.
The log of hook runs is on the Hooks tab of Activity, under Settings > Plan & Usage. See Hooks.

Commands

Your slash commands, with an editor: name, description, argument hint and the prompt itself. Built-in commands are listed too, so search finds them. See Commands.

Agents

Specialists Kepler can delegate to, each with its own tools and instructions. Create one with New agent, or edit and delete your own and a workspace’s. A built-in specialist opens to show its tools and lets you pick its model. Below the list, Kepler’s own agents set the model for each part of Kepler:
